About Me
Bio sketches
My name is Fabrizio D’Ammassa, I was born in Sora and I spent the first 19 years of my life in Posta Fibreno before moving to Rome to attend the courses of Computer Engineering faculty at University of Rome Tor Vergata where I graduated in 2008 with a master thesis on Model Driven Architecture.
I live in Frascati with my girlfriend since January 2011, I practice five-a-side football twice a week, I would improve my English and play the piano more frequently, I drive a Lancia Delta but I hate Rome disorderly traffic.
I have been working for 2 years at Coresecure as web developer (and much more) and Google Analytics consultant where I had a great time learning advanced web development techniques and products such as Magento and Grails. I currently work as System Engineer at Nextant in the field of Air Traffic Management. Since the end of 2011 I work also as freelance software engineer with primary focus on web applications (php and java most common stacks).
My first computer was the Commodore64, I wrote my first program in QuickBasic when I was 10 years old. After a big pause (you know… girls, sport…) of about 8 years, I fell in love with programming again (and forever) at 19.
I manage my own VPS that I use as development and test environment (I chose Ubuntu as Linux distribution).
